Although my main interest lies in photographing birds, this sometimes goes hand in hand with opportunities to take pictures of other animals too. I am also fortunate to have access to a small private woodland where I can leave a camera, flash and triggers overnight - suitably protected from the weather. Some of the deer and also the badger photos were taken this way.

 

I put trail cameras up first as I imagined that the woodland inhabitants would have regular habits which would show me where to place the main camera, but this proved not to be the case. So photographing these animals has taken a lot of patience and many unsuccessful shoots or nights leaving a camera up. There aren't many pictures in this section but I hope to add more as time goes on.
