WILCOCK

These photographs show birds at their nests and young birds still dependent on their parents. Some of the images will also be seen on other pages. However I wanted bring together on one page a range of nesting behaviour as an illustration of the wide diversity of lifestyles and environments occupied by UK birds. I find this truly amazing and a simple illustration of the way evolution has worked over many years. All these images were photographed with due regard to both the parents and young. Great care was taken to avoid distress to the birds, and where appropriate under supervision of a Schedule One licence holder under the regulations of the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981.
