WILCOCK

Gannets are one of our most magnificent seabirds. They are true masters not only of the skies but also of sea itself in which they find their food. The images show ground shots of a nesting colony, Flocks that have taken to the skies, individual birds soaring in flight and some diving into the sea or emerging with fish whilst other birds try to rob them of their catch.

The final monochrome image is an experiment and you will recognise that it is a desaturated and adjusted version similar to one of the earlier pictures of a gannet diving into the sea.
